Nice photos. Yellowstone is a pretty cool place, especially anytime other than the summer. Not sure why you didn't try fishing from the fishing cone, I've seen some nice old photos of people cooking their fish in it. You'd get a nice ticket now, but you'd have a cool photo.
We went during UEA. The weather was great for it, but because of the cold air there was so much steam coming from some places it was difficult to see them. On the other hand, you could pick out every single thermal spot no matter how small because of the steam, so I thought it was awesome. I have some videos of some of it I need to edit and put up, but I'm freaking slow - plus I still haven't installed much since the hard drive crash.
